Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home with a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence earnings does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the read more public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
